Betty Warren Phillips
Sep 14, 1932 - Nov 02, 2018
Betty, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2018 in the presence of her loved ones. Born September 14, 1932 in Roaring River, North Carolina, the only child of Samuel Jennings Warren and Carrie Maude Quattlebaum Warren. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Kay Phillips, son Richard Wayne Phillips and granddaughter Nichole Poteat McCroskey.

Living in Clemmons, North Carolina, Betty was a loving wife and mother, a giving friend, and an accomplished business person who made a lasting impact on both her friends and colleagues. Betty was a member of the BellSouth Telecom Pioneers retiring with 28 years of service, an active member of the Unity Moravian Church and a frequent volunteer at Sunnyside Ministry.

Betty adored her daughter, son and granddaughter, and loved and laughed with her many friends and colleagues. We will miss her incredible energy, optimism, and ethical approach to life. She was a model of strength, courage and dignity to all who knew her. We will miss her brilliant smile, her everlasting kindness, and the core of love that drove her. Be at rest sweet "Betty."

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9 at 12:00 p.m. at Unity Moravian Church, 8300 Concord Church Road, Lewisville, North Carolina. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. before the service at the church. A reception will follow the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunnyside Ministry, 19 Haled Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127, www.sunnysideministry.org.
