Pamela Jane Key met her Saviour, at Forsyth Hospital, with the sounds of the hymn "It is Well With My Soul" sung by the lovely voice of Martha Bassett echoing.
Pam was born in Arlington County, VA to Jo Harris Key and the late Ted Key. She was an early member of Old Town Baptist Church. She attended Old Town elementary school, graduated high school from Oak Hill Academy, attend Ferrum College, VA and Forsyth Tech.
She is survived by her mother, a brother Greg Key, nephews James and Seth, a niece Konnie, many loved cousins, and a beloved aunt Evelyn.
We have not 'lost' Pam as we know she is safe with God where she will never be harmed or hurt again.
We will celebrate her life at the Weedle Cemetery, near the Blue Ridge Parkway (Mile Post 188), where she will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. Bring a lawn chair and celebrate with us if you wish.
Any memorials should be directed to your church in her honor.
Online condolences may be sent to www.salemfh.com.
We can look forward to the day when there will be no more sickness and death. Revelation 21:4 says: "And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (2 Corinthians 1:3,4; Psalm 36:7)
"Jehovah*, God of peace,
God of Love that will not cease.
Grant us peaceful, calm conditions,
That good fruitage may increase.
May You grant us now Your Own peace
That excels all human thought."
"Your spirit aids our sight
As Your Word gives needed light.
May peace just like the dew
Calm our thoughts, refresh us too,
That our hearts and mental powers
Might be safe by means of You."
Psalm 83:18*; Philippians 4:9
