Larry David Regan passed away at his home in Kernersville, North Carolina on Saturday, March 31, 2017 at the age of 74.
Larry was predeceased by his mother, Mrs. L. D. Regan of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Larry's childhood was filled with sports, model building, and a love for Soapbox Derby racing.
Larry was born in Winston-Salem in 1942. He worked for McClean Trucking during his lifetime.
Early in his life Larry was introduced to Masonry. In 1970 he joined the fraternal craft as a member of Dove Masonic Lodge No. 51 in Richmond, Virginia and later with Metropolitan Lodge No. 11 in Virginia. He maintained his Masonic membership for 47 years and chose as his final act of Masonic charity a lifetime gift to the children of the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, in Oxford, North Carolina.
Larry had a love for his dogs and maintained a quiet life, assisted by Mr. Tim Hughes and fellow Masonic Brother, Mr. Brian Furniss-Rowe, as well as several members of the community of Winston-Salem who kindly provided for him during his final days.
A memorial service in the presence of his brethren in Masonry was held on October 2, 2017 at Kernersville Lodge No. 669 of Kernersville, North Carolina. Brother Larry was remembered on this day for his service to the Masonic craft and fulfillment of his place in the fraternity as a dedicated member, giving with faith, hope, and charity.
