Justin Shane Twiggs
Oct 16, 1980 - Dec 03, 2017
Wilmington, North Carolina
On Sunday, December 3, 2017 Justin Shane Twiggs, father, son, brother, friend, passed away suddenly at the age of 37. Justin grew up in Winston-Salem, NC until 2003 when his heart found his true home next to the ocean. Justin was an artist with wood, he could turn something that was plain and ugly into something truly beautiful. He had a passion and a gift for music and poured his heart and soul into it every time he played. There were four things in this world that Justin loved with everything that he was and that was his daughter, his family, his music, and the ocean.

Justin will be forever remembered and forever loved by his daughter Sloane, his mother Lynn (Mike) Masencup, his sister Courtney (John) Flinchum, his niece Hayleigh and his nephews Johnny, Jacob and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father Bobby Twiggs. Justin will also be forever remembered by his extended family and close friends.

A celebration of Justin's life will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Funerals and Cremations, 120 South Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.

Those we love can never be more than a thought away .... for as long as there's a memory they are in our hearts to stay

In lieu of flowers, donations we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, sibling, grandchild or friend and tell them how much you love them. Tomorrow isn't promised and time waits for no one.

In life we have decisions to make. Not all of them will be made with patience, understanding or thought. We have made a lot of these decisions together my friend and a lot of me wouldn't exist without a lot of you. There are so many things I wish I could tell you but mostly that I'll always love you bro'! You held my hand when I needed you the most and I'll forever be grateful. The music, cars, beach trips, friends and love we shared will never go unforgotten. I can see your big smile and know that I'll see you again one day my brother forever!!! It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but it takes an entire lifetime to forget them.

I just wanted to express my deepest sorrow for your loss. It's so hard to part ways with our dear loved ones, but especially when we lose them unexpectedly. No doubt this is a very difficult time for you all, but please draw comfort from the fact that soon our Heavenly Father has promised to make death "no more”, here on Earth, and also to bring back our loved ones that have already "fallen asleep" so that we have the chance to be reunited with them (2Cor 1:3,4 Rev 21:3,4 John 5:28,29 & 1 Thess 4:14). Again, please accept my condolences

We would like to say that we are so sadden by the news of Justin's passing. We pray that God will comfort each of you and wrap his loving arms around you and give you peace & understanding. Justin will be missed by many but especially by his little girl Sloane. Sloane was and always will be a daddy's girl. Lynn, no parent should ever have to endure the loss of a child. We pray that God will be with you in the coming days and be by your side as you grieve this most difficult loss. Sending you all hugs.

From the first time we met I knew you were a kind soul. You taught me so many things, and I have so many great memories with you. You were always kind and patient. You had a heart of gold and although you tried hard not to show it, you were very sensitive. Rest easy and keep watch over you sis and mom. They will need that strength right now. You have no idea how many lives you've touched. So from all of us down here, you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.. With so much ❤️
