Rudolph C. (Dick) Heath, born Richmond, VA on October 2, 1928 to the late John Powell Heath and Grace Heath. He retired from Quality Oil Company in 1989 after 39 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by great granddaughter, Emmeigh Grace McLaurin, infant great grandson, Judah Tate McLaurin, two sisters: Doris H. White Creech and Margaret H. Crews.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Peggy Heath, one daughter, Karen, one grandson Christopher Heath McLaurin and wife Rachel Ann McLaurin, three great granddaughters, McKinleigh Brynn McLaurin, Aubreigh Caroline McLaurin, Hadleigh Mae McLaurin, one brother John Powell Heath, Jr. and wife Pauline, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews and their families.
At Mr. Heath’s request there will be no formal visitation and burial will be private.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the Emergency Room staff at Forsyth Medical Center including Dr. Shield. Their care and compassion did not go unnoticed.

Dear Family, truly sorry for your beloved loss of Dick. I will forever remember the love and compassionate neighbor and friend he was. There was no way I could have sent out for a resume` for a more devoted friend or neighbor, he was the finest. He definitely will be missed as an extended part of our family.
