Alma Rose Sink

Alma Rose Sink passed away on Sunday May 29, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 14, 1925 in Forsyth County to Clinton E. and Mary Mock Sprinkle. Rose was a Christian, a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church where in her younger days she taught Sunday School, baked chicken pies and worked with the youth for years. Later in life she and her husband were active at Oaklawn Baptist Church. She was a long time employee of Sears. She was home centered as a wife and mother. Her life revolved around her husband and children.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Virginia Sprinkle, Grace Waugh, Martha Conrad and Elwood Sprinkle. Her surviving siblings are H. Vance Sprinkle of Pfafftown and Allene Hutchinson of Greensboro.

She was predeceased by her husbands, William Andrew Voss in 1972 and Ray F. Sink.

She is survived by her three children: Mary Jane Miller (David) of Winston-Salem, Betsy Benton (Jeff) of Swansboro and LuAnn Drumheller (Earl) of Kernersville and her two stepdaughters, Mrs. JoAnn Morgan (Shorty) of Pfafftown and Mrs. Cindy Woodard (John) of Kernersville.

She is also survived by six grandchildren: Joseph Miller, Christina Miller, MK2 Michael Benton, Cpt. Andrew Benton, Melissa D. Hilton and Emily D. Vollink; great grandchildren include Hayley Vollink, Jo Lee Benton, Raylan Benton, Liam Benton and Aya Benton.

Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Funeral Home Chapel, 120 South Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC. There will be a visitation one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park
