Martha Kanterman passed away in Winston-Salem on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 91.
Martha is predeceased by her parents Rose and Charles Miller, two adoring husbands, Irving Beerman and Sam Kanterman and three loving brothers, Hyman Miller, Morris Miller and Milton Miller.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her cherished daughter Susan Beerman, son Paul Beerman, daughter-in-law Linda Beerman and grandchildren Isaac and Rachel Beerman.
She is also survived and terribly missed by her sister and dearest friend Rachel Turkewitz, her devoted brother Norman Miller and his wife Gloria, her loving sister-in-law Rachel Miller, her step-son Ted Kanterman and his wife Dale and the many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Martha was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1921. She worked a full career as an executive secretary for

Martha enjoyed playing Mahjong with a gallery of friends, but most of all, she enjoyed helping people. If anybody needed anything, they knew to call Martha. She volunteered into her 90’s at Morse Geriatric Center and for 27 years at the Palm Beach Sherriff’s Department. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and Jewish Women International.
The funeral service will be held at Mt. Sinai Cemetery at 10:00 on Wednesday, July 24. Rabbi Andrew Ettin will officiate.
