Steven Keith Swortzel, 47, of Winston-Salem, loving son, father, brother, uncle and best cousin anyone could ask for went to be with our Lord and Savior on this day, March 8, 2013.
Steve was born August 19, 1965 to H.C. Swortzel and Suzanne W. Loftin. He was a member of Advent Moravian Church. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Herman Swortzel and his loving grandparents, Reid and Margaret Whitlow.
Steve is survived by his children, Cody and Madison of the home; his mother, Suzanne Loftin, whom he cherished, and her husband, Jerry Loftin; sister, Lynn Myers and husband, Steve; brother, John Swortzel and wife, Sheila. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 11, 2013 at Advent Moravian Church Graveyard with Rev. Tim Byerly officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Salem Funeral Home, Main St. Chapel. Online condolences may be made through www.salemfh.com.
