Mr. Allen Eugene Knott, Jr., 61, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Knott was born October 7, 1951 in Winston-Salem to the late Allen Eugene and Dimple Wilson Knott. He worked at Gardner Asphalt and Sherwood Williams Auto Paint. Mr. Knott was a very giving person, he enjoyed writing and loved his children and grandchildren. He had recently graduated from the Rescue Mission's Transformer Program at the New Life Center. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Lillian Knott of Kernersville; son, Allen Eugene Knott, III, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Justice Lewis and Lennox Lewis; and his sister, Kathy Wise of Winston-Salem.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013 at Salem Funeral Home, Main St. Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be made through www.salemfh.com.
