Mrs. Marsha Kennedy, 47, passed away surrounded by her family at Forsyth Medical Center on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Mrs. Kennedy was born February 16, 1965 to Mrs. Linda Flynn and father, Harold Eckersley in Pinehurst, N.C. She graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1983, and then gained a degree in Early Childhood Development from Forsyth Tech. Mrs. Kennedy worked at Clemmons Moravian teaching children. She was a devoted wife, mother, loving grandmother, and friend. She was also an absolute animal lover! She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Pam Kennedy, grandparents Bernard and Hazel Williamson, and three uncles. She is survived by her husband Kevin Kennedy, a daughter Lynette Kennedy and a special grandson Jase Orrell , a son Chris Kennedy, her mother Linda Flynn, an Uncle Don and Aunt Eve Williamson, and their children Mathew, Lindsey, and Leanne, father-in-law Jack Kennedy (Pfafftown), brother in law, Craig Kennedy, sister in law Dalene Kennedy, a half brother Timothy Eckersley (Southern Pine), and a life long friend, Tonya Brooks. She was blessed with a large family of nieces, nephews, and cousins that she was very close with. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 61 Miller St, Winston-Salem, N.C, 27104. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 2:00 P.M at Salem Funeral Home, 120 S. Main St, Winston-Salem, followed by the Entombment at Forsyth Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M at Salem Funeral Home on Friday, March 23. Online condolences may be made through www.salemfh.com.

God saw Marsha was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he wrapped his arms around her and said come with me. We wander why God called her home, well God picks the prettiest blooms.
